2009 News-

1/28/10- New Brickington Fire Rescue is currently working on getting a grant to purchase Engine 5 and Truck 3. We will keep you posted on the status.

1/01/10- Happy New Year from New Brickington Fire/Rescue!

11/28/09- Wow, an update! Not much is happening in New Brickington right now besides the usual calls. New Brickington does have some plans that are being put into the works however, so check back over the next few weeks! 

11/26/09- New Brickington Fire and Rescue would like to wish everyone and their families a safe and fun Thanksgiving! 

9/05/09- New Brickington Fire and Rescue responds to a car versus building call. Check the "Photographed Incidents" section for more details. 

8/19/09- New Brickington Fire and Rescue begins to look over the design for Engine 5 and Truck 3.

7/5/09- New Brickington Fire and Rescue begins to start fundraisers and apply for grants to help pay for Battalion 2 rigs.

6/1/09- New Brickington Fire and Rescue has taken delivery of Truck 2, Engine 3 and Engine 4.

5/29/09- New Brickington Fire and Rescue has recieved Engine 2 and Truck 1 back from the shop. 

5/25/09- New Brickington Fire and Rescue has sent Engine 2 to Pierce and Truck 1 to Seagrave. Mutal aid Ariel units will need to be ready.

5/24/09- New Brickington Fire and Rescue has sent Squad 1 to Pierce.

5/19/09- New Brickington Fire and Rescue begins final inspections before ordering Haz-Mat 1.

5/18/09- New Brickington Fire and Rescue has placed the order for Truck 2.

5/14/09- New Brickington Fire and Rescue starts a fundraiser to raise $10,000 to purchase Truck2. 

5/13/09- New Brickington Fire and Rescue is going over final details before purchasing Truck 2. 

5/12/09- New Brickington Fire and Rescue has joined the Lego Metro Fire District. 

5/9/09- New Brickington Fire and Rescue reponds to a Nuisance Call at 17852 South Hamilton Circle. See "Photographed Incidents" section for more information.

5/9/09- New Brickington Fire and Rescue recieves the Rescue 1 and Engine 2 back from Pierce. 

5/8/09- New Brickington Fire and Rescue responds to multiple calls. Check the Photographed Incidents section for more information. 

5/3/09- New Brickington Fire and Rescue places an order for Engine 4.

5/1/09- New Brickington Fire and Rescue places an order for Engine 3.

4/19/09- New Brickington Fire and Rescue recieves Federal Grant money. This money will purchase Engine 3, Engine 4 and Tower 1. 

3/21/09- New Brickington Fire and Rescue has joined the LCFC 

3/16/09- All rigs have been updated, as well as rig pictures. Check the NBFD Current Apparatus page for more details. 

2/21/09- New Brickington Fire & Rescue has received E3 and C3 from the shop. 

2/18/09- New Brickington Fire & Rescue has taken delivery of a 2007 Dodge Ram 4x4. It will replace C3 and has been sent to the shop for customization.

2/17/09- New Brickington Fire & Rescue has received a new engine. It is going to the shop for decals and a light bar.

1/25/09- New Brickington Fire & Rescue has replaced all their rigs. New rigs are E2, R1, L1, C1, C2, C3 and C4.

1/04/09- New Brickington Fire & Rescue has received 2 new apparatus-Rescue 1 and Engine 3.

2008 News-  

12/31/08- Brush 1 is involved in a fatal car accident and is scrapped.

12/27/08- NBFD's design team has been hard at work over the past 2 months. They have come up with a plan and have made a final decision for apparatus. Car 1, Engines 6, 7, and 8, Haz-Mats 1 and 2, Ladders 1, 2 and 3, Rescue 2, Squads 1 and 2, and Tower 2. NBFD will send a funding request tomorrow.

12/07/08- NBFD was denied funding because of economic issues and is in the process of raising money.

11/23/08- New Brickington Fire & Rescue has given the green light to request funding.

10/22/08- New Brickington Fire & Rescue's apparatus design team has come up with new vehicles; Rescue 2, Haz-Mat 1 and 2, Ladder 49, Brush 2 and Squad Engines 13 and 14. These vehicles are undergoing final touches before NBFD request funding from the state to purchase these vehicles.

6/16/08- New Brickington Fire & Rescue receives B1 from the shop with a paint-job and a light bar. 

6/15/08 New Brickington Fire & Rescue sends B1 to the shop to be customized.

6/14/08- New Brickington Fire & Rescue receives the brush truck in perfect condition.

6/10/08- New Brickington Fire & Rescue has purchased 1 2008 Brick Ridge Apparatus custom Brush Truck. 

5/28/08- New Brickington Fire & Rescue receives E30 back from the shop.

5/25/08- New Brickington Fire & Rescue has received E32 and L31 from the shop. E30 has been sent to be customized.

5/23/08- New Brickington Fire & Rescue takes both E32 and L31 to the shop to be customized.

5/7/08- New Brickington Fire & Rescue has received the other two apparatus, a 2008 Enforcer Custom Cab Series Engine as well as a 2008 Streamline Mid-Mount Tower, both from Brick Ridge Apparatus. Chief Renner said " With these two apparatus from Brick Ridge, as well as our engine from St. Lego, the city is that much safer. All the apparatus are great, and would like to thank St. Lego and give a big thanks to Brick Ridge Apparatus; they are a great supplier of high quality custom fire apparatus. I would recommend them any day of the week if you want quality apparatus for a good price." Both the Engine and the Tower will go through pump testing and be assigned to station 1. Look for pictures of these new apparatus in the "NBFD Current Apparatus" Section.

5/5/08- New Brickington Fire & Rescue received one of three apparatus, a 2007 Pierce Arrow XT 1250 G.P.M and a 500-gal tank from St. Lego Fire. The engine (will be E30) will go through pump testing and will be assigned to station 1. Look for pictures in the "NBFD Current Apparatus" Section.

4/25/08- New Brickington Fire/Rescue has purchased one 2007 Pierce Arrow XT 1250 G.P.M and a 500-gal tank from St. Lego Fire. The Engine should arrive by May 19.

4/19/08- New Brickington Fire/Rescue purcahses one 2008 Streamline Mid-Mount Tower Series and one 2008 Enforcer Custom Cab Series Engine from Brick Ridge Apparatus. Chief Renner said, "We should receive both of these by May 12. We are very happy to purchase these 2 apparatus and cannot wait to have them in our fleet."
